Dutch trial rider switches from Michelin to KENDA for the 2026 Season

March 19, 2026 / Powersports

Young trial rider Tristan Klein Zandvoort has started the new season on KENDA Ibex Trials tires, marking a new sponsorship partnership and a shift away from Michelin. After his first Dutch Championship race in Zelhem, the feedback is clear: strong grip, excellent stability, and confidence across changing terrain conditions.

A new season: From Michelin to KENDA

On 15 March 2026, Tristan competed in his first Dutch Championship race of the season in Zelhem — a race that also marked the beginning of his new journey with KENDA, and ended with an impressive second-place finish.

This is the first year KENDA is sponsoring Tristan, and the race in Zelhem was an important first test in competition conditions and gave Tristan the opportunity to experience the performance of the tires in a demanding environment.

Grip and Stability on KENDA tires

With wet and slippery conditions at the start, followed by drier terrain later in the day, the tires performed well throughout and delivered the grip and stability needed in changing conditions.

As this was also Tristan’s first-time riding in the adult category, the race came with an added level of competition. Even so, it was a positive first experience on KENDA tires and a promising start to the new sponsorship.

Next stop: Nunspeet

With the next Dutch Championship round taking place in Nunspeet in the beginning of April — on a terrain known for its soft sand and slopes — Tristan is looking ahead with confidence. Based on his winter training and his first experience racing on KENDA tires, the outlook for the rest of the season is promising.
